MENTOR-IN-TRAINING PROGRAM
OVERVIEW
COSTA RICA 2024

All GLASS alumni are invited to join us back in Costa Rica as a Mentor-in-Training (MIT)! Working more closely with our program managers and GLASS Mentors, our MITs are given a behind-the-scenes GLASS experience. Your first GLASS experience helped you uncover and find confidence in your authentic leadership style. In this second GLASS experience, we'll work with you on your skills of empowerment. You'll return home with a refined ability to mentor your peers along their own leadership journeys.

LEADING FROM WITHIN

Our MIT experience is centered around the theme of "leading from within." Leadership is an intrinsic skill within each of us. Harnessing and honing the skill to empower your peers as leaders will elevate all of life's experiences––in the classroom, on the sports field, and beyond.

As an MIT, you'll grow alongside first-year GLASS students––guiding and empowering them through the same leadership experience that you already navigated. Outside of our daily GLASS leadership workshops, our Mentors will lead MIT reflection sessions to help you channel the empowerment skills that already exist within you.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Total: $3295

Dates: MITs can attend any 2024 GLASS Session.

Session 1: June 11th - June 20th, 2024
Session 2: June 24th - July 3rd, 2024
Session 3: July 9th - July 18th, 2024
Session 4: July 22nd - July 31st, 2024

Included:

  • ​3 meals per day

  • 9 nights hotel lodging

  • In-country transportation

  • Sports-performance training

  • Service-learning clinics

  • GLASS Leadership Development Workshops

  • MIT-Exclusive reflections

  • Zip-lining, catamaran, Baldi Hot Springs, and surfing excursions

  • GLASS t-shirt

  • GLASS journal

  • International Health Insurance​​

Not Included:

  • Round trip airfare to and from Costa Rica

  • Passport fees (if applicable)

  • Baggage fees on flights

  • Personal expenses (i.e. souvenirs and snacks)

Payment:

  • A $250 deposit is required to reserve your spot in a session. The remaining balance will be paid in installments.

Note: GLASS Alumni do not need to reapply to GLASS to join us as an MIT. All alumni can begin with registration to reserve their spot in one of our sessions.
